Chat with other fans about all things OLP on IRC, or through the java chat on www.clumsycongress.com. If you're unfamiliar with the IRC (internet relay chat) network, you can find all the details below.
For advanced IRC users, you can find the chat on the irc.newnet.net server in the the #clumsycongress channel. Please remember when you use the chat that you are leaving ourladypeace.net.
IRC is a real time chat that allows you to talk with people from all over the world. To get started, download mIRC from http://www.mirc.com.. The page will provide you with installation instructions and give you some tips on how to get started.
Here's a few things you'll need to know about the chat.
Our Lady Peace do come into the chat once in a while, you can find them under the names Raine, Jeremy, Duncan, and SteveM. These names are all password protected. If you try to use these names, you will be forced off the chat within one minute. Anyone that uses a different name or gets kicked off within a minute is not from the band.

Terms
OP= A channel operator. They monitor the channel and have an @ beside their name in the right bar. They can kick or ban people, etc.
AOP = Automatic operator. They're the same as an OP, but they get ops as soon as they come in.
Helper or Voice = They have a + beside their name in the right bar.
Smileys and Acronyms:
:-) is a smiley face - tilt your head to the left to see it!
:-( is a frown
;-) is a wink
:~~( is crying
:-P is someone sticking their tongue out
:-P ~~ is drooling
(-: is a lefty's smile
There are hundreds of these faces! Make one up!
Here are some common acronyms used in IRC:

Typing in all caps - LIKE THIS - is considered "shouting" and should be avoided. Likewise, do not repeat yourself or otherwise "flood" the channel with many lines of text at once.
