questions about the band? READ THE FAQ!

First off we want to spell out to everybody that we are fans! We do not have Raine's address and we don't know Jeremy's phone number. WE WILL NOT FORWARD E-MAILS TO THE BAND. We are not personal friends with any of the members of Our Lady Peace. We will not send out copies of any tapes listed on the site. Please do not ask.

1. Why doesn't your site have this or that?
Well we haven't thought of it yet or we didn't think it was a good idea. Give us a buzz and we'll let you know.

2. Why doesn't your site feature live tracks?
My site will feature live tracks when I obtain the tapes of any american shows. Since it is illegal to tape canadian shows, I can get into alot of trouble for posting them.

3. Why is there a message board and a guestbook?
I felt the guestbook is more informal while the message board adds a more discussion-style atmosphere to the site. The guestbook is more geared towards the one-time visitors.

4. My Site has the exact same _______! Your a thief!
No we are not; we have constructed all images on this site and all articles and things that have been obtained from other sites have been recognized under a "Works Cited" section in close proximaty to the files in question. Also in most cases if you are a webmaster I will gladly link you; you see it would be nice to have a complete list of OLP links and without your site it isn't complete! You can sign up for a link here.

5. Why don't you feature java or Shockwave on your site?
Well this is site is designed "bare-bones" style for a reason. Since the site is mainly for information purposes, I think it is much better to present the information rather than clutter it with alot of unnecessary animations and plug-ins.

6. What does your site have that other OLP sites don't?
Well I have noticed a similarity between most OLP sites on the web and I have tried to set it apart with a unique design and other information not found on most sites. Ex. bootleg Discography, Pied Pipers Union issues archived, both a message board and a guestbook. But most prominently about the site that is absent from most others is the exposure.

7. Why doesn't your site revolve around Raine?
Well, it does. Raine is a member of the band and it revolves around the band. I tend to agree with most other webmasters out there who have pointed out that Raine as a sex-symbol and only appreciated as such, is bad for the band. This sort of fanaticism has reduced excellent bands to nothing more than a one-man show. Ex. Bush, Porno for Pyros etc.

8.What browser do you recommend for viewing this site?
I've tried to combine the best of both worlds on this site. I wanted to use the table viewing skills of Netscape with some low-bandwidth tricks from Explorer. So if you're using either the latest versions of  IE (3.2 or 4) or Netscape 4  you should be fine.

9.I'm from SONY canada and I think your site should be shut down!
Oh crap! hehe, no seriously for any toes I've stepped on down at SONY music, I'm really sorry. I'll fix up whatever you want me to.

10.What happened to your old OLP site?
It was here a long time ago, but I got tired of it. Since my site was dedicated to so many bands I felt it better to do the meaningful music justice by just focusing on one band. Sorry!

11.Where did you get the perl scripts for your page?
Well I found them just by surfing around, and being in the right place at the right time. Lucky for you that you won't have to go through that! Here they are!
1. Random Image Display- used on the front page.
2. WWWBOARD- used as the message board, always fun to have.
3. GUESTBOOK- used as the guestbook. The most widely used PERL script out there.

And finally an apology to all the fans viewing this file that can appreciate Our Lady Peace for what they are; a spectacular rock and roll band. Hopefully this and the FAQ will eliminate all unessecarry e-mail from our mailboxes. I must again stress that before you e-mail me you read this and the FAQ very carefully, we will not respond to your letter if we have covered the material on this site.
