To adequatelly asses the obsessions and desires we have for the site in one quick 2 or 3 paragraphs is a very daunting task for me. I'm not often faced with a writing assignment that has personal emotion tied into it. The site started out as a very selfish getaway for me. Since then it has turned into the massive work of 3 other people. Its amazing what 23 original songs can do to a person. It flew one to England, it awakened anothers musical interests more than 100,00 miles from the source of the sound, it forced yet another to give their VCR an extensive workout to catch all the hidden meanings. It inspired one to write extensively about it, and it cost me my sanity.

   So much work has been put into every ounce of this site. It is important to us that you know exactly what it is intended to do. First and foremost it is formatted to elicit a response from its viewers. Whether it be through an e-mail or a post on the message board. It is much like Our Lady Peace's musical ideals in that it is designed to encourage the diversity of interpretations.

   Secondly, we would like the site to help promote a lesser known band with great talents to the world. This band has gone to extensive measures for their fans, they have quietly visited terminally ill fans, they have stopped concerts in the middle of songs to assist somebody that has been trampled and they have even gone as far to put fans who couldn't get tickets to the show on their personal guestlists. They are all remarkable people, and they deserve this attention and as much success as their music allows.

   The site is open to and welcomes any fan contributions. If you don't like a graphic then you can send us a new one and if we like it we'll put it up. Although having said that the contribution must comply with our morals and sense of decency. I hope this doesn't discourage anyone. We like to display all points of view so fans can make their own decisions. We don't take slags against the band personally, a while back somebody posted a graphic that read "Our Lazy Peace" in reference to the Smashing Pumpkins dispute. We are all open minded people.

   In accordance with the wishes of Our Lady Peace and most of the fans, this site will only contain facts. We have a special section dedicated to rumours, but you can take anything you hear from us as the word of GOD basically. We only print news we hear from OLP or SONY or other reliable sources. We only print news we hear firsthand. This site is designed for fans with brains. We try to exhibit as much original content as possible. There are plenty of fan sites out there who will print anything they hear about any member of OLP or their cousin, we try to rise above that as high as we can.

   So what has started as one fans pipedream has turned into 4 vastly differing versions of reality. Each member of the team has different intentions and hopes for the site. So the mission statement cannot be one giant blanket over the site because we all have different opinions. Thats why we all give eachother the time and space for our own views, aptly placed in a section called "Affording the View".

   In conclusiion let me say I am pleased to have started this off, and I hope it continues long after I decide to leave. Until then and long after do the one thing we all know is right -keep the peace-
