Openers: Age of Electric, Finger 11 Set: Automatic Flowers, Hope, Superman's Dead, The Birdman, Car Crash, Trapeze, Carnival, Julia, Naveed, Neon Crossing, Starseed, Dear Prudence, 4AM, Clumsy Notes: One of the best shows on OLP's headlining Canada arena tour. We hear Trapeze at this show for the first time in a year and a half and we are also treated to a slow version of Julia played by Duncan on keyboard. |
| 01/16/98 | Corel Center, Ottawa ON
Set: Automatic Flowers, Hope, Superman's Dead, The Birdman, Car Crash, Trapeze, Let You Down, Carnival, Julia, Naveed, Neon Crossing, Starseed, Dear Prudence, 4AM, Clumsy Notes: We are treated to an extra long Car Crash intro tonight very reminiscent of a Hendrix/Townshend style solo. Very cool :) Other wise it seems as if OLP are sticking to a script from the last two nights. |
| 01/17/98 | Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto ON
Openers: Everclear Soundcheck: Automatic Flowers, Trapeze, Julia Set: Automatic Flowers, Hope, Superman's Dead, The Birdman, Car Crash, Trapeze, Carnival, Julia, Naveed, Neon Crossing, Starseed, Dear Prudence, 4AM, Clumsy Notes: Without a doubt the best show of OLP's career so far. The crowd is great and their act comes off powerfully in the dark historic hall of Maple Leaf Gardens. Raine sounds like he's going to pop a blood vessel during Car Crash, and Duncan and Jeremy are in tune all night. Mike again blows the crowd away with the Car Crash jam. |

Set: Automatic Flowers, Hope, Superman's Dead, The Birdman, Car Crash, Let You Down, Trapeze, Carnival, Julia (piano), Naveed, Neon Crossing, Starseed, Dear Prudence, 4am, Clumsy Notes: Raine apparently had a confrontation with an audience member and told him where to go onstage. Sucks to be that guy. |

Set: Automatic Flowers, Hope, Superman's Dead, The Birdman, Car Crash, Let You Down, Trapeze, Naveed, Neon Crossing, Carnival, Starseed, Dear Prudence, 4am, Clumsy Notes: The show is stopped and the band abandons their instruments to help an injured audience member. |

Set: Automatic Flowers, The Birdman, Superman's Dead, Naveed, Car Crash, Carnival, Let You Down, Hello Oskar, 4AM, Shaking, Starseed, Clumsy, Eternal Life Notes: Another good show by OLP. We are delighted to see Buckley's Eternal Life become a regular on their setlist. The band is confronted by Black Lab on stage with cans of silly string. good show overall. |
| 05/07/98 | Sheas Performing Arts Center, Buffalo NY
Set: Automatic Flowers, The Birdman, Superman's Dead, Naveed, Car Crash, Carnival, Let You Down, Hello Oskar, 4AM, Shaking, Starseed, Clumsy, Eternal Life Notes: From what Stacy tells me this was a good show. The set list was identical as the night before, but the venue was much more intimate and their were a lot more canadians at this show :) |

| 06/01/98 | Prime Club, Koln Germany
Set: Automatic Flowers, The Birdman, Superman's Dead, Naveed, Car Crash, Carnival, Let You Down, 4AM, Starseed, Eternal Life Notes: A very relaxed OLP play this show with alot of confidence. They are in a really good mood tonight and the crowd is very responsive. Definitely one of the great European shows. |

| 06/09/98 | Borderline, London UK
Set: Automatic Flowers, The Birdman, Superman's Dead, Naveed, Car Crash, Carnival, Let You Down, 4AM, Starseed, Eternal Life Notes: A great show by all accounts. Raine is in a very good mood tonight and his vocal chords are on fire. The crowd is very loud but unfortunately OLP is not able to play a second date to the capacity crowd on hand for their first real gig in London. |
| 06/12/98 | House Of Blues, Hollywood CA |
| 06/13/98 | Q102 One Earth Party, Cincinatti, OH
Openers: Matt DeCoster Band, Fastball, Sister Hazel, Alana Davis, and Everclear Set: Automatic Flowers, Superman's Dead, Naveed, Clumsy, Car Crash, Let You Down, 4AM, Starseed Notes: The band is relaxed, and plays a very "intimate" show in a venue where close to 50,000 jam-packed their way in. Raine announces to the crowd that they are leaving the stage by stating: "This is going to be our last song, thanks for paying attention to us." Some wacky fans also blow bubbles onstage to keep the band between songs. Raine also adlibs lyrics to close Let You Down. |
| 07/02/98 | Phoenix Plaza Amphiteatre, Pontiac MI |
| 07/07/98 | Hara Arena, Dayton OH
Supporting: Third Eye Blind & Eve 6 Set:Automatic Flowers, Superman's Dead, Naveed, Car Crash, Let You Down, 4AM, Clumsy, Starseed, Eternal Life Notes: OLP plays a tight set, Mike is nearly unrecognizable to alot of fans because of the new shaved 'do' he is sporting. Crowd surfing is really bad at this show and apart from alot of fans not paying attention the show went off really well. |
| 07/08/98 | IC Light Pavillion, Pittsburgh PA
Supporting:Eve 6, Third Eye Blind Set:Automatic Flowers, Superman's Dead, Let You Down, Hello Oskar, Car Crash, 4 AM, Clumsy, Starseed, Eternal Life Notes: Duncan appears wearing a shirt that reads "FUCT" on the front. The band throws Oskar into the set for the first time in ages. However 'Naveed' is omitted from the set in fact tonight they only play 1 song from their debut album. Can you tell they're trying to make it in the states? |
| 07/10/98 | Nautica Lot, Cleveland OH
Supporting: Eve 6, Third Eye Blind Set:Automatic Flowers, Superman's Dead, Hello Oskar, Let You Down, Car Crash, 4AM, Clumsy, Starseed, Eternal Life Notes: The band continues its tribute to Jedff Buckley by playing 'Eternal Life' off his Grace EP. Naveed is slowly dying on this US tour as Starseed is again the only inclusion in the set. Otherwise another good show and a few more fans for OLP. |
| 07/11/98 | Darien Lakes, Darien Center NY
Supporting: Eve 6, Third Eye Blind Set: Automatic Flowers, Superman's Dead, Hello Oskar, Car Crash, 4AM, Naveed, Clumsy, Starseed, Eternal Life (Order?) Notes: Finally, we hear Naveed again on this tour but Birdman seems to slip between the cracks in the pavement at this show. A festival style venue made for a rough crowd through most of the set and the presence of canadians livend up the crowd immensely. |
| 07/12/98 | Vernon Downs, Vernon NY
Supporting: Eve 6, Third Eye Blind Set: Automatic Flowers, Superman's Dead, Let You Down, Car Crash, 4AM, Clumsy, Starseed, Eternal Life -Shaking?- Notes: We know 'Shaking' was played at the show but we do not know exactly where. Apparently it was a vry violent crowd, and a few fights broke out. I suppose the fans were a little pissed that they didn't hear more off Naveed. |
| 07/13/98 | St. John's Island, Sault Ste. Marie ON
Openers: Treble Charger Set: Automatic Flowers, Hope, The Birdman, Superman's Dead, Car Crash, Carnival, Naveed, Let You Down, Hello Oskar, Eternal Life, Julia, Starseed, Encore:4AM, Clumsy, Dear Prudence Notes: This was the OLP show of the summer. Naveed Lives again! 4 Songs off their debut with 2 covers to boot! We also see Dear Prudence re-appear after being left alone since the winter tour. Hope also rises from the dead, to team up with the fast version of Julia (not played since the first leg of the Clumsy tour). A very energetic set from Raine especially who quietly mumbles the lyrics to Starseed to himself before Mike takes over for the intro. Raine also messes up some lyrics during Naveed. This show marks the first time a Buckley cover has been played on Canadian soil by OLP. |
| 07/14/98 | Hammerstein Ballroom, New York NY |
| 07/17/98 | Harborlights Pavillion, Boston MA
Supporting: Eve 6, Third Eye Blind Set: Automatic Flowers, The Birdman, Superman's Dead Carnival, 4AM, Clumsy, Car Crash, Starseed, Eternal Life Notes: We see Raine tuck the mic in his shirt for the Birdman which he hasn't done in a long time. There are slight tech difficulties before Carnival which shows up for the first time on this US tour. A good show and good crowd. |
| 07/18/98 | Oakdale Music Theatre, Wallingford CT
Supporting: Eve 6, Third Eye Blind Set: Automatic Flowers, The Birdman, Superman's Dead, Car Crash, 4AM, Naveed, Clumsy, Starseed, Eternal Life Notes: Amazing Acoustics all night, at the Oakdale music theatre. Raine stops and thanks the crowd pointing out they had no idea they had this many fanc in CT. The Birdman is seemingly becomeing a regular staple in their set. If only they could work 'Naveed' in there. |
| 07/21/98 | Electric Factory, Philadelphia PA
Supporting: Third Eye Blind (Eve 6 did not play) Set Automatic Flowers, The Birdman, Superman's Dead, Naveed, Car Crash, 4am, Clumsy, Starseed, Eternal Life Notes: A very rowdy crowd, typical of Philadelphia. A fan makes a request for -quote- "some loud shit!" Raine responds, "Ok, I'll play some loud shit!" and then very nicely accomadates the request with 4AM. |
| 07/24/98 | Merriweather Post Pavillion, Columbia MD |
| 07/25/98 | PNC Bank Arts Center, Holmdel NJ
Supporting: Eve 6, Third Eye Blind Set: Automatic Flowers, The Birdman, Superman's Dead, Car Crash, 4AM, Clumsy, Starseed, Eternal Life Notes: Naveed drops from the set again :( Ah well they can't play it EVERY night. Raine explains upon playing Eternal Life that they were playing it in tribute to the loss of a close friend who inspired the band. |
| 07/26/98 | Tussey Mountain, State College PA |
| 07/28/98 | Mayo Island, Richmond, Va.
Supporting:Eve 6, Third Eye Blind Set: Automatic Flowers, The Birdman, Superman's Dead, Car Crash, 4AM, Clumsy, Starseed, Eternal Life Notes: We see a sea of lighters during 4AM which Raine introduces as a song about "stupid regrets". We hear the story behind Car Crash, the one where a friend tries to kill herself on a dark, country road. Birdman again pops up in the set, as well as Eternal Life. |

Supporting: Eve 6, Third Eye Blind Set:Automatic Flowers, The Birdman, Superman's Dead, Car Crash, 4AM, Clumsy, Starseed, Eternal Life Notes: 3EB was totally upstaged at this show according to our source. Raine comes down off the stage during Starseed. There is a really good crowd tonight who immediately rushed the stage as OLP appeared. There was an intense fan reaction which I guess the band was feeding off of. After 'Eternal Life' Raine begins hitting the cymbals violently, Mike threw his guitar in the air and Jeremy tossed out the drumsticks. 3EB had to follow what was really an ordinary setlist by OLP and was not as received as well as our canadian boys. |
