Well, I just got home from the OLP show, and it seemed like a good time to report. I'm not gonna say it was awesome because you know it was, and I'm not gonna say it was the greatest experience of my life because I'm sure all you hardcore fans who have seen them know that seeing OLP live is, in fact, the greatest thing you can do, next to meeting them of course.

Eve 6 took stage first and got the crowd into it. It was kind of funny during thier performance because the stage crew made signs with the the band member's names on them, and they were taping them to the band members while they were playing. Also, the guitarist's guitar stopped working at the beginning of one of their songs. This was good because it took a minute or two to get it fixed, and they couldn't play all their songs because of it. This gave OLP a little extra time which is great.

After Eve 6, OLP came on. Half of the ampitheater rushed the stage and it was great. I didn't have the greatest seat, so I joined them, as I would have no

Automatic Flowers/The Birdman/Supewrman's Dead/Naveed/Car Crash/
/Clumsy/4AM/Starseed/Eternal Life

I sang along to all the songs, and Raine had the crowd sing the later part of Superman's Dead, a small part of Clumsy, and a bit of 4am too. The crowd was very into it and responded well. It seemed like the majority of the crowd was there to see OLP, which should be the case. There was the usual crowd surfing and such, and Raine came down off the stage during Starseed, and I guess you could say gave all the fans that were right by there 'five'. You know what I mean, I think. I was a bit left of the center, so I didn't get to make contact with him, but the show was so great I didn't mind a bit, well maybe a little. Also, during The Birdman, Raine seemed to go insane or something. It was quite intense, as was the whole performance. The fan feedback was incredible. It was a lot more than Third Eye Blind or Eve 6 got. I guess the people around here just have taste in music. The performance convinced my friend, who really hadn't heard much OLP, to not only buy one of thier albums, but he said he was going to get both. This was the first time I had seen OLP live, and I am so impressed. My interest in them has grown so much, even though it really didn't have the room for expansion. I'm so glad they played Naveed. I know they don't very often, and it is the greatest song. After Eternal Life was over, Raine hit the cymbils almost violently, like he was mad, and walked off stage. Mick threw his guitar into the air, and Jeromy threw his drum sticks into the crowd. That was it for OLP.

After OLP, Third Eye Blind came on. As I said, the fan reaction wasn't as intense as it was for OLP. They put on a decent show anyway.

I'm still shaking with excitement from the show, and I'm sure everyone else who attended is the same way, if that's possible. I'll close with an interesting fact about their shows. Raine always wears a yellow button-down shirt and dark green cargo pants. I talked to three other people, who all attended different shows, and they all said that's what he wore. I didn't point this out to them either. They brought it up, so I know they weren't fooling me, and I saw it for myself. I found this kind of interesting and wanted to include it. That's all for this report. Later people.
