I just saw Our Lady Peace last night(10/20/1999) at Hard Rock Live in Orlando. Stereophonics opened up for them, and they put on a good show. OLP came onto the stage at about 9:30pm and went until about 11:00pm or so. here is the set list as best as I can remember:
Carnival
Automatic Flowers
(the rest, except for the last two, are in order as best as I can remember)
Happiness & The Fish
Potato Girl
Is Anyone Home? (I think they played this one)
Superman's Dead
One Man Army
The Birdman (was my favorite part of the show, extended it longer then normal with lots of different lights and lot of added stuff
(i.e. guitar, bass, drum effects added), and Raine was dancing all around stage and really getting into the song, it was great)
4am
Blister(I'm pretty sure they played this one, too)
Waited
Lying Awake(Raine told the story of this song, and about how this guy, I think his name was Mr. Benny, and how he was an
"asshole" and how he stole money from everyone, and how he was now on his death bed, with cancer or something like that,
etc.)
Stealing Babies
(then they came back for an encore, these two I am also sure of)
Clumsy
Supersatellite
that is the set list as best as I can remember. the show was great, I have seen OLP in concert 4 times and i would have to say that this one was the best. Raine got so into the songs while he was singing, and I was right up at the front of the stage. I was about 3 feet from him at times. I found out after I got in that we could have cameras, so I guess that will be next time. after the show they gave a good thank you, then they through the drum sticks and set list into the crowd, I wish I got them, I was very close to getting them. if you want to know what they were wearing, I will also try to remember as best I can. Raine = gray kakis with some pockets in the front on the bottom and they were all embroidered on the back with cool designs, and he was wearing a black T-shirt with a big orange symbol on it (I'm not sure what is was), and he was wearing a dark gray vest with lots of pockets on it, I liked it a lot. Mike = a shirt that said BIEN (or BEIN) on it and dark jeans and sneakers. Duncan = all black and a winter hat that almost covered his eyes, looked to be wool or hemp. Jeremy = shorts and a T-shirt there was another guy playing that I didn't know, he was playing keyboard and guitar, I think his name was Jamie. Raine was also playing this really nice guitar, I couldn't tell what kind it was, but it had the OLP symbol in some language (I think it was an Arabian language) on the guitar. there were, from my best guess, about 500 to 700 people, the room was really big so I couldn't really tell. and I think that's pretty good for Florida (I'm from central new york and we get sold out shows up there). I also got a cool OLP shirt too. well I think that's about it.
Thanks,
