September 12- Our Lady Peace has donated an autographed T-shirt to Animal Alliance of Canada's Celebrity auction
The Animal Alliance of Canada is an animal rights advocacy and education group which focuses on local, regional, national and international issues concerning the goodwill and respectful treatment of animals by humans. So far the highest bid is 10$ (Canadian). Its a great cause and a great prize if you get to walk away with it! | September 11- Well don't be expecting too much breaking news where OLP is concerned. They've finished the Summersault tour, and now they're taking a break until the October when they will head back into the Studio to be gin work on their third album. We will be bringing you updates when they do happen though such as this one: OLP have been nominated for a Much Music Video Award in the PEOPLE'S CHOICE: FAVOURITE CANADIAN GROUP category. You can vote online at Much Music's Site. The awards will take place on September 24th. Good Luck to the guys!! |

September 8- Today the date is September 8th and the draw for the live
recordings is today. I first want to thank all of you for participating and making
OLP.NET's very first contest a success. Second of all I want to tell you
all about the draw that will be held tonite.
The draw will be held LIVE on IRC at 7:30 EST
The prizes are 1 video bootleg and 2 audio bootlegs. We will also be choosing two standby winners in case the winners are unable or do not claim their prizes. All winners will be notified by another mailing just like this one with the winners e-mails posted. The names will also be posted on the site. All winners are required to send in their home or mailing address from the address through which they entered the contest. Lastly, I want to extend further invitations to you all to enter when we run this contest again, the next time OLP tours. Lets hope its not too long. | September 5- It is a very slow news week for OLP. Its tough finding news articles about Summersault, but the latest plague in the festival is the absence of SLOAN. Who cannot get to the shows thanks to the good people at Canadian Airlines who are on strike. In other news to keep you satisfied with new stuff from the site I have added a new review from pittsburgh to the tourwatch archive, and I will soon be adding reviews to the new german and english bootlegs I have received from attendees of the european shows. Also expect a revamping of the discography section soon :) Keep watching. |
