I go to a lot of Our Lady Peace concerts, and I get to talk to a lot of fans. A few questions always come up:

Where do you live?

I'm a Canadian! I live near Toronto, which means I never have to miss a hometown OLP show.

How did you get your job?

This is a bit of a long story. In '97 I went to Edgefest in Barrie, Ontario. A friend that dragged me there was going on and on about this band called Our Lady Peace. I went, got caught in the pit and had a horrible time. Despite that, I was blown away by OLP. The next time I saw them was a couple of months later when that same friend and I drove 9 hours to Boston to see them play at a small promotional show at a mall.

The rest as they say is history. I continued to travel, saw them all over Canada and the US (I even saw them once in the UK). I got involved with the online community started working on my own fansite and eventually joined ourladypeace.net which was a fan run site from 1998-2000. I left ourladypeace.net to start working with the the Clumsy Congress in 99. I ended up working at Sony Music Canada for a few years and when I left, I continued to work with OLP. Through my work I got closer to the band and management, and when we wanted to start a site for the fan club, it seemed reasonable that I would take it on.

What do you do?

I do a little bit of everything. Other than the site design and maintenance, I run contests and giveaways. I also go to OLP concerts, take photos and video, run soundcheck parties and get content for the site while the band is on tour.

If you met me at any of the shows on the last Canadian tour, you may have also met my friend, Tanya. I've heard a lot of confusion as to who Tanya is so I'm going to introduce her properly since I have the chance.

Tanya and I met at a Concert when she braved one of the horrible Canadian snow storms on a trip from Virginia to Toronto to attend the Maple Leaf Gardens show in 1998. We worked on some projects together, had a lot of fun and became really good friends. Tanya usually comes out to whatever shows she can on the East Coast and helps out by taking photos and video. She also gets to be my tester and sounding board for a lot of the new features on the site.
