01/25/2003 - "Kelowna"

Hey Steve heeeeeeeeeeeeeere, how are you all? Everything here is great. Tonight was our first show of this tour, and we are in Kelowna, BC. The show was great and we had a ton of fun. Our new friends the Trailer Park Boys may have had something to do with us having so much fun, the guys are a riot and what they did in the show made me laugh like mad. For those of you who don�t know, the Trailer Park Boys is a comedy on Showcase network that we became fans of last year and so we invited them out on this tour to do their thing. I am really psyched to have them aboard, I�m a big admirer of the show and it�s such a trip to see these guys walking around hanging out, it sort of feels like you�re living in your favorite sitcom or something. Between them, Seether, Finger Eleven, and us, I would say that it�s a show worth catching����������..

Anyways, tonight�s show was fun. We haven�t played in almost 6 weeks, I think, but once we got onstage everything felt pretty good. I was glad, didn�t know what to expect, not playing for 6 weeks and all. But we rehearsed a bit the couple of days before to get the memories back a bit. We played �Bring Back the Sun� really well tonight, I thought, I really dug that one and �Are You Sad� felt great to me tonight. Playing in a big old Canadian arena tonight was really cool for me, too, as this is my first big Canadian tour with the band.
I hope the Trailer Park Boys don�t get annoyed with me constantly asking them about the show. Super nice guys, they are, but I don�t know if they would want you to know that!
