02/02/2003 - "Paybacks a bitch."

Essentially touring is a lot of hurry up and wait. You wait while youre driving to the venues, you hurry up the rest of time to get everything done. Ive found that show days usually mean a lot of dehydration, no meals and little sleep. For the past few weeks Ive been getting into some very bad habits of only eating once a day and sleeping around 4 hours a night. Now with this flu going around its all finally caught up to me.
Yes folks. Im now officially sick. Bring on the NyQuil, amen!
During the show tonight I had to come back to the bus to lay down so I missed Finger Eleven. :( The smoke was extremely thick and it was really bothering my already sore throat so I left Tanya in there. I did catch Seether and the crowd was going insane. I wouldnt be surprised if they tore the place up during Finger Eleven.
In other exciting news, we got to go to a Laundromat today! A friend once got back from a long tour and told me how much he was looking forward to doing his laundry, and I told him he was a sick man. I now apologize to him as I understand how much bliss laundry can be. I now have a suitcase full of fresh smelling, nicely folded clean clothes.
There are four things I dont think Ill ever take for granted again:
1. Proper bathrooms
2. Showering daily
3. Clean clothes
4. Food not in a truck stop or including the words "on a stick"
Its been a pretty uneventful day so far, with more of the same predicted for tomorrow ;-)
