"AN EXCITING TIME FOR ALL OLP FANS..."

In the last week a great deal of light has been shed on the new OLP album and of course OLP played the first shows since last year. I wanted to take this opportunity in my third view to share with you some of my thoughts and feelings concerning the new album. As you already know the album has been finished and is to be released on Tuesday, September 21st. It has also been confirmed that the first single will be a song called One Man Army, which will start playing on radios from August 10th. Unfortunately we still await any news about the album being released here in Europe but it doesnt look like it will be released until sometime in the year 2000, but I stand to be proved wrong. For those of you who cant wait that long here in Europe or for any fan living in any location around the world, it will be available from respected online CD stores.

OLP have recruited a touring member called Jamie Edwards. He plays keyboards, guitars and sings also. As far as I am concerned this is a very good thing and can only enhance the live OLP show. OLP seem to have branched out on this album and recruiting Jamie to help out will add another dimension to the sound and add some spice to the older songs. Just think we will be able to hear Supermans Dead with three guitar parts now. It just shows that as with the album Clumsy they have expanded even more and progressed. We at OLP.net welcome Jamie to the band and look forward to seeing him in action.

There is certainly an exciting feeling in the air right now, we all know that we are about to embark on something very special. People I have spoken to on the Clumsy Congress and other message boards seem confident that this album will give the band world wide recognition and this is a feeling that I share.

OLP aired 6 new songs at Woodstock and played some warm up shows in the previous week under the name "Bellyflop Communist". From what I have about these shows from people who saw them it sounds like it was smiles all round and truly unforgettable shows. Everyone who has had a taste of shows and new songs has become very excited.

We would like to congratulate our former webmasters Stacy and Kate on helping out with a new site www.clumsycongress.com which was announced by Mike Turner on the Clumsy Congress message board. We would like to wish them all the best with the new fan site, which will offer a range of fan orientated pages giving the chance for OLP fans to interact more with other fans and members of the Clumsy Congress.

As you have probably read on the main page we have a new addition to the OLP.net team. Her name is Sara Petrevan and I look forward to working with her in the future.

Mike Paris has given the tourwatch section a new look and I have to say it really is amazing, make sure you have a look. We hope to be able to keep up with future OLP shows offering reviews and pictures.

This brings me to the end of my third view. I hope you have enjoyed reading this and Im sure that you share the same excitement as I do about the latest flow of news. The next couple of months are certainly going to be very exciting ones.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has supported the site and continues to do so, especially people who have continued to continue the tourwatch section. Feel free to e-mail us with any comments, suggestions, ideas that you may have.
