I think the US has different versions of it. But we're talking about the canadian deal. The tour was started by Toronto's lead rock station 102.1 the edge as a canada day bash at Molson Park in Barrie (30,000 capacity venue) as a showcase for all good canadian bands. It has seen headliners sych as OLP, The Tea Party, The Tragically Hip, Sarah McGlaughclin and others.

Two years agao when OLP spearheaded the show, it was decided that it would tour cross-canada to virtually every major city except the maritimes because Universal Concerts are inconsiderate bastards. But thats another story. I live in Toronto and have gone the past two years where canadian talent has been underscored by huge american acts. However they have kept the tradition of a Canadian headline. Past Amercian acts include: Green Day, Collective Soul, The Verve Pipe, Foo Foghters, Creed, Tripping Daisy and Blur.
:
: Ya'll tell me what exactly is edge fest?? Finger 11 kicks ass and so does Creed. I saw them both in augusta, ga. Anyway, ya'll tell me if this tour has any chance of coming to the south side of the us, or is this a totally Canadian tour.
