01/25/2003 - "Hello Again!"
by Stace

Hey Everyone!

First off allow me to apologize for the lack of updates in the last few days. Tanya and I have been really busy getting everything off the ground. Weve got our schedules sorted out and a little more time now so expect daily updates most of the time!

Ive lost all track of time over the course of the tour. I keep forgetting its a Saturday and not a weekday. Its also strange to be three hours behind the east coast. Every time I want to call home I have to catch myself because its 3 am there, not midnight.

The show last night was absolutely amazing, but Ill catch you up to everything in order starting with Thursday the 23rd and OLPs rehearsals.

Duncan told us the night before that they were planning on getting started around 3 in the afternoon. Tanya and I showed around 3 or so and waited around chatting with the crew and watched them set up. OLP practiced a new cover (Im not spoiling that just yet though). And ran through the set a few times. The purpose of the rehearsal was to make sure everything ran smoothly from the music to lights.

Unfortunately, nothing terribly exciting happened that night because we got back the the hotel room and I passed out as soon as my head hit the pillow.

Im just not cut out for the rock star life style perhaps.

The next day was hectic! We woke up around 10 am and literally didnt stop until 2 am. Between soundchecks and photos and video, we both had a lot to do. We got lots of photos. Im just uploading a few right now but check for more in the tour book on Monday or Tuesday. As I said before the show was fantastic. Seether opened up and did a great job, they got the crowd warmed up. Next up was finger 11 who put on a show of pure energy. Trailer Park Boys are doing some comedy between the sets and its hysterical. Its worth going to the show just to see them ;-)

Ive seen OLP many times but I keep coming back for the kind of show I saw last night. The crowd was really into it, and I got some amazing photos with all of their hands in the air.

Like I said earlier the day was very busy. I think everyone was getting into the tour groove, everyone was much calmer. Tanya and I even had time to stop for some soup! The soundcheck winners were great and very happy to be there. (Hellos to Matt and Holly!)

Later tonight I hope to get some pics up from tonight show, but fear not, if I cant do it tonight theyll be up tomorrow!

Its 8:42 local time and I'm just sneaking away between Finger Eleven and OLP to post this so I have to get back there and take some pictures! Take care and Ill talk to you all again soon
