A Club in Regina
Ok, everyone must bear with me, this post is the morning after a great show and night of drinking with the street team. Yesterday was a day off for the Fear Of The Trailer Park Tour, but the Seether and Finger Eleven guys had a show to do in Regina, SK. I completely remember the show it was fantastic! The club was called The State, and the people there are very nice. It was an all ages show for Seether and Finger Eleven. Stace and I helped out the rest of the street team in the task of spreading the word about Seether and F11. To do this, they have been passing out some very cool stuff before and after every show. If you are coming out to any of the shows that Seether is playing you should get there early and get some cool free stuff, like bios with contest information, stickers, CDs, posters and other little things. The crowd in Regina was so great, I got many thank yous and other pleasantries. The kids there have the kind of manners I would love to see everywhere. With this being a smaller club show and only the 2 bands each of them had I longer set. Seether hit the stage around 7pm and got the crowd going. Their set was great, I think they completely won over the crowd. Stace and I not only took some very nice pictures but also was able to shoot some video too. (maybe that will wind up on the web or something a bit later on) After this tour is over, I will defiantly recommend Seether to anyone who like hard rock, they have a great sound and can put on one hell of a show!! Finger Eleven hit the stage around 8pm and blew the whole place away. The raw energy they put into every performance shows not only on their faces but also the faces of the fans that came to see them. Where I was standing I could see the sea of faces swaying and moving to the music. I think everyone there was more then pleased with the show. As the doors opened to let out the fans, The street team and I handed out boxes of stickers, posters and CDs. After about an hour of that we all headed back on the bus to warm up and gather ourselves. We had a visitor at around 11, that invited us all to go back into the club to hang with the bands and crew for a bit of drinking and fun. Being the fun loving group that we are, we all accepted and made our way in. From here is where things get a bit fuzzy for some, (not me) about the events that happened. The short version that protects the guilty is that there were many drinks, many laughs, a few drunken pictures, and some old music. All in all it was a fantastic night that didnt end till about 3am. To say the least we were all feeling it this morning. It was well worth the lack of sleep and bit of a sore throat I have this morning, I would totally do it again.
