02/11/2003 - "Home Safe & Sound"

Well let me just say right off that Im a dumb-ass, I totally forgot to upload the post I wrote after the Montreal show. So here it is, and after that Ill give you an update.
Home of the Habs
Tonight wraps up the tour for Stacy and I, Im very sad to see it all end. Ive made some great friends and have seen many beautiful cities. Montreal was no different, the city is great, yesterday we got to walk around a bit and we checked out the Eaton Center (Le Centre Eaton Montreal) a very big and very cool mall. I had to hold myself back form spend way too much money. But enough about that, on to the show. Tonights was once again fabulous. Seether and Finger Eleven both put on great sets that got the crowd intensely wound up (in a good way). Then Trailer Park Boys hit the stage, After they did a bit of talking to the crowd Bubbles gets a guitar and begins to sing a song he wrote called Liquor and Whores as he gets about 2 lines into the song we all hear Raines voice boom through the PA, Bubbles, I told you not to sing that song! The crowd went wild with laughter and cheers, and out from the back comes Raine to the stage to confront Bubbles. He told him that he could sing the song about kitties not the one about whores. It was very funny, and the crowd loved it!! After the Trailer Park Boys finished their song and talked with the crowd it was time for OLP. Our Lady Peaces set was fantastic but bittersweet for me. Cause with every great song it meant that it was that much closer to being over. It was a fun show, the crowds roared for every song. The band was in top form and played every song with perfection and enthusiasm. After the show we hung around a bit and said our goodbyes. I will truly miss all the bands, the Trailer Park Boys, and the crew. Everyone made me feel welcomed and at home, I hope I someday get to see them all again. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart.
Farewell,

Update:
So, Im now home in Virginia and back to work. It will take a bit for me to get back into the swing of things, but I do not regret taking off to do the tour. Id do it again in a heartbeat!! Over the next week or some Stace and I will be going through all the pictures and stuff we gather. As we sort it, it will go up on the site, so keep checking back. I think you all for reading my ramblings and coming out to the shows it was much fun!!
Take Care!
